Aluminium 5005 Coils are primarily made up of aluminium (about 97.4%), along with magnesium (0.5–1.1%) and small amounts of iron, silicon, and chromium. This alloy is non-heat-treatable, providing moderate strength while excelling in corrosion resistance, particularly in marine and industrial settings. Its mechanical properties include a tensile strength ranging from 145 to 190 MPa and a yield strength of around 110 MPa, along with good elongation for forming and bending.
