Aluminium 5082 Bars (UNS A95082 / DIN 3.3345) consist mainly of aluminium (92–94%), magnesium (4.5–5.5%), manganese (0.3–0.9%), iron (0.4%), silicon (0.3%), zinc (0.25%), and copper (0.2%). Such composition gives superior resistance to corrosion, high strength, and excellent weldability. Properties of mechanics are tensile strength 260–310 MPa, yield strength 180 MPa, and elongation 12–18% based on the temper. Having a Brinell hardness of 70–85 HB, Aluminium 5082 Bars provide strong durability and structural stability, which has led them to be very suitable in marine, automotive, aerospace, and chemical process industries.
