Aluminium 5083 Bars (DIN 3.3547 / UNS A95083) consist of aluminium (90–91%), magnesium (4.0–4.9%), manganese (0.4–1.0%), iron (0.7%), silicon (0.4%), zinc (0.25%), and copper (0.2%). The composition provides optimum corrosion resistance, high strength, and excellent weldability, particularly in marine and chemical conditions. The bars contain tensile strength of 310–320 MPa, yield strength of 150–180 MPa, elongation of 12–16%, and Brinell hardness of 75–95 HB based on temper.
